Donald McLean Ferguson

Don passed away peacefully at home on 21 January 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Brother to Graham and Rosalie, brother-in-law to Catherine and Charles.
Much loved Uncle to two nieces, four nephews and their spouses.
And great uncle to eleven great nieces and nephews.

Thank you to the staff at Summerset on the Landing for the care they gave Don.
A service of remembrance will be held at The Anchor Church, 1 Joseph Banks Drive, Whitby, Porirua on Monday, 26 January at 11am.

Sincere Condolences to Charles, Rosalie, Graham and Catherine on passing of your brother Donald.
Sounds he was well loved by yourselves and all of his nieces and nephews and their children, an all inclusive family.
My earliest memory of Donald dates back to Feb 1960 just as I started SBHS. Donald arrived at the Grace Street Chapel on his motor scooter one Sunday morning and asked about my 3rd Form class. My next recollection was his 21st celebration 2 years later at Don St Church where I recall meeting a Medical Student Brian Humphrey, one of Don’s student friends. I don’t recall seeing him thereafter but presumably did so at Graham’s 21st in Dunedin and Charles’ and Rosalie’ wedding.
Charles please send me your contact details. I have tried to track your whereabouts for some time. We have been in Australia almost 3 years and have just moved to a new address in Papakura last month.
